Led Zeppelin by Led Zeppelin is the first and only official illustrated book to be produced in collaboration with the members of the band. Celebrating 50 years since their formation, it covers the group’s unparalleled musical career and features photographs of Jimmy Page, Robert Plant, John Paul Jones and John Bonham on and offstage, in candid moments and in the recording studio. This definitive 400-page volume includes previously unpublished photos, artwork from the Led Zeppelin archives and contributions from photographers around the world.
The 400-page hardback features previously unseen photos and artwork, and was curated by Robert Plant, Jimmy Page and John Paul Jones.
A quote from late drummer John Bonham from 1971 reads, “It was going to be a good group. Not to be flash about it … but I am.”
Meanwhile, in a new interview with the Daily Mail, Plant was asked what he put his survival down to, having reached the age of 70 while many others succumbed to the effects of drugs and poor lifestyle.
“I don’t put it down to anything,’ he replied. “There’s a myth that surrounds artists and writers who don’t spend their time refuting, denying things. I don’t care whether I did or didn’t do too much stuff. Some of the greatest work that’s ever been created, the greatest projection and delivery of music, has come from stoners, but I had nothing to do with all that shit, not since I lost my boy.”
Plant's son Karac died at the age of five in 1977. “I’ve written four songs about my boy who passed away," he said. "It lets me cry. You know, with pain like that, it’s never gone.”

The Eagles' "Greatest Hits" Is The Top-Selling Album
Originally released in 1976, the collection has sold more than 38 million copies.
A record held by Michael Jackson’s “Thriller” for more than 30 years is no more. The Eagles’ Greatest Hits 1971-1975, a perennial seller since its initial release in Feb. 1976, has surpassed 38 million copies sold, according to the latest certification by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).
The Eagles knocked Jackson’s 1982 smash to No. 2 but the band also holds the No. 3 spot with the album “Hotel California,” also released in 1976. That album has been certified 26-times platinum, for sales and streams of more than 26 million copies.
Said Cary Sherman, Chairman and CEO of the RIAA: “Congratulations to the Eagles, who now claim the jaw-dropping feat of writing and recording two of the top three albums in music history. Both of these transcendent albums have impressively stood the test of time, only gaining more currency and popularity as the years have passed, much like the Eagles themselves.”

New animated video from Sting and Shaggy release "Just One Lifetime"
ABC/Paula LoboAn album, a tour, a gig in the Hamptons, and now...a cartoon. That's the ever-unfolding story of collaborators Sting and Shaggy, who turned their musical bromance into the joint album 44/876, released in April.
The animated video is for "Just One Lifetime," a groovy reggae tune. The clip features cartoon versions of Sting and Shaggy dancing on a beach, with other animated characters. The look is much more old school than modern, and would fit in just fine in a '70s-era Saturday morning cartoon lineup.

Slash wrote a song . . .
Slash featuring Myles Kennedy & the Conspirators have released "Mind Your Manners," a new song from their upcoming album, Living the Dream.
“Mind Your Manners” is a typically riff-heavy track featuring an intense vocal performance by Kennedy and a patented fleet-fingered solo from Slash.

According to Slash, “Mind Your Manners” was among the first songs the band worked on in the sessions that produced Living the Dream.
“I wrote this song on the spot to help the band get up and running once we got back in the studio this past January,” he told Classic Rock. “It’s just a go-for-it type of song. Pretty straightforward rock and fun to play.” “Lyrically, it’s about how when things are going well there always tends to be someone who tries to rain on your parade and knock you down,” Kennedy added. “You have to keep people like that in check and not let them get to you.”

It's Not Just A Horse & Buggy, It's An Amish Uber
You’ve never seen an ‘Uber’ like this before . . . .
This livery driver’s got some serious horsepower.
A Michigan man is putting an old fashioned twist on ridesharing, offering up what might be the country’s first “Amish Uber” — according to reports.
Instead of a car, Timothy Hochstedler ferries his customers around St. Joseph county in a horse and buggy.
